He Left the 99… for You (And Most People Miss Why)

What if you’ve misunderstood God your entire life?

What if He’s not waiting for you to find Him…

…but already came looking for you?

Before you read further, watch this:

The Story Most People Think They Know

Most people think Christianity is about becoming a better person.

Try harder. Be good. Clean yourself up.

But that’s not the story the Bible actually tells.

The story doesn’t start with you.

It starts with God.

“In the beginning, God created…” (Genesis 1)

Everything—every star, every breath, every moment—exists because He intended it.

And then something even more personal:

“Let us make man in our image…” (Genesis 1:26–27)

You weren’t an accident.

You were made with weight, purpose, and meaning.

Even if you don’t feel it.

What Went Wrong

So why does life feel fractured?

Why do we want good… but drift toward everything else?

The Bible doesn’t avoid that question.

It answers it directly.

“All have sinned…” (Romans 3:23)

Not just mistakes.

Not just bad habits.

A condition.

A fracture deep in us.

Genesis 3 shows the moment humanity turned from God—and everything since has carried the echo of that decision.

You feel it in yourself.

And so do I.

The Problem No One Can Solve

If God is good, then evil matters.

It can’t just be ignored.

“All His ways are justice…” (Deuteronomy 32:4)

And that creates tension.

Because we want justice when we’ve been wronged…

…but mercy when we’re the ones guilty.

So how can both exist?

Why Jesus Came

This is where everything changes.

For centuries, the story was building toward an answer.

“He was pierced for our transgressions…” (Isaiah 53)

Then Jesus came.

Not just to teach.

Not just to inspire.

To rescue.

“The Son of Man came… to give His life as a ransom…” (Mark 10:45)

He lived the life we haven’t.

Perfect. Whole. Unbroken.

And then He walked toward the cross.

The Cross Wasn’t an Accident

Jesus didn’t die because He lost.

He died because He chose to take your place.

“He became sin for us…” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Justice wasn’t ignored.

It was fulfilled.

But instead of falling on you…

it fell on Him.

And Then… Everything Changed

He didn’t stay dead.

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile…” (1 Corinthians 15:14)

But if He did rise…

Then this isn’t just a story.

It’s reality.

“What If the Bible Is Made Up?”

That’s a fair question.

But don’t dismiss it without testing it.

Luke investigated eyewitness accounts (Luke 1:1–4)“We did not follow cleverly devised myths…” (2 Peter 1:16)

Read it for yourself.

Don’t reject something you’ve never actually examined.

“But Church Hurt Me”

That’s real.

And it matters.

But the Bible already tells the truth about people:

“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves…” (1 John 1:8)

Christians are not perfect.

They’re being changed.

Sometimes slowly.

Sometimes imperfectly.

Sometimes painfully.

But Jesus is not them.

Don’t confuse the two.

The Part Most People Miss

Jesus told a story:

A shepherd had one hundred sheep.

One wandered.

And he left the ninety-nine…

to find the one.

Read it: Luke 15:3–7

That story isn’t about sheep.

It’s about you.

This Is the Real Question

“The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)

You don’t find God.

He came looking for you.

So the question isn’t:

“Am I good enough?”

It’s this:

Will you let yourself be found?

🔥 Take the Next Step

If something in you is stirring…

don’t ignore it.

About Me

I’m Chris Gambrell—a writer, a thinker, and someone who pays attention to the things most people learn to ignore.

Not because I’m trying to be difficult.
Because I’ve seen what happens when we don’t.

A lot of my writing comes from real experiences—conversations, observations, moments that stick longer than they should. The kind of things that don’t always get said out loud… but probably should.
